It is very common to see it in the morning and in the afternoon hoping to surprise some small unprepared prey and always very elegant.

Little Blue Heron
On this time let me introduce a Little Blue Heron on its different phases of growth. In Tikal they do not stay for long, only occasionally, for reasons of displacement or mating. This Little Blue Heron has found a place in one of the water reservoirs of the archaeological site and have seen different faces of pigmentation.

Chicky Chicks
Most of the most amazing sightings are rare birds or chicks. The sighting of a Rofous-capped warbler specie with which arrived at 434 in Peten this year
and a Chick Double- toothed kite have been the most exciting moments of this year.

Flowers Season
After few weeks of rainy days trees renewed their leaves and have their new green and alive color at the same time it started the blooming season.
There are about seven hundred species of flora per square kilometer registered in Peten and the color palette during this time of the year it is impossible to show even in pictures, but we can see the result of their beautiful mixtures.
Nature is using its best makeup and perfumes.
Thanks for visiting us.

Butterflies Season
This is the beginning of the rainy season in our country and many migratory species come to this area of the tropics in Guatemala. Butterflies began arriving a week ago and there are many of them of many colors. Also the birds nesting in May have their chicks which are already starting to fly. The wild activity is abundant and rich in variety of species which are seen only at this time of the year.
If you are thinking about visiting Guatemala. The northern district of Petén should be within your itinerary. Here we have a wonderful experience awaiting for you, to meet Tikal, walking through the jungle and ancient buildings of one of the most important Mayan cities and enjoying wildlife in its most amazing ways.

Guatemala
Are you planning to visit Guatemala? My country has the perfect environmental conditions in fourteen different ecosystems to enjoy the best bird watching experience. 735 bird sights have been reported during the most important seasons on e-bird.com and international scientific magazines by more than 250 professional birdwatchers and the National Society of Ornithology allowing amateurs and professional birdwatchers get access to updated information. Migratory species are mating and nesting on March till June and later going up north to come back on November to January on their way to Central and South America.
My profession is Ecotourism, I'm certified by the National Bureau of Tourism in Guatemala for working all over the country leading tours. My area of expertise is Archeology and anthropology of Guatemala. But the way I use to introduce my country to our visitors is Bird watching. I have been working on the field since 2,009 and is my pleasure tell you welcome to a wonderful experience visiting Guatemala and if it's possible I would like to offer my experience organizing trips to the best places for bird watching, cultural and archaeological sites of Guatemala.
